PRAYER: Dear Father in Heaven, I desire to spend time with you through your words in Christ Jesus. I ask for the Holy Spirit to open my spiritual ears and eyes to your truths. Guide me and lead me in Jesus name. Amen.

Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes, To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ--their Lord and ours: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3.  REPHRASE (Summarize)  God, help me to understand what you are saying.

Paul is writing a letter with Sosthenes to the church in Corinth. The church of God is made up of those who are called to be holy and are sanctified in Christ.

I have been sanctified by Christ. Thank you God! God calls me to be holy. I want to be holy. But, am I living the life of holiness? I'm glad that God wants to give me His grace and peace. I desire to seek it.

I will meditate on God's grace and peace throughout the day, and also think about areas that I need to change to conform to God's holiness. God, help me to live out the high calling to be holy as you are holy. Amen.

PRAYER:   Dear God, I thank you for spending time with me. Help me to walk with you throughout the day representing you well in my life. Give me the strength and wisdom to treasure all that You have shown me today. In Jesus name I pray... Amen.
